FAQ's

Where is Heat & Anger located?

We are located at 699 River Road, Hamilton, just up from the Fairfield bridge and exactly opposite Gate 2 for Waikato Diocesan School for Girls. We run our business from home so we ask that people are respectful of our hours and also give us a call before coming on site if you are outside of cart hours.

What are your hours of operation?

Our coffee cart is open at 699 River Road, Hamilton from 7am until 11.30am every weekday, Monday to Friday. After 11.30am although we are not open for serving coffee by the cup, we run our wholesale & servicing side of the business until 5pm weekdays. We allow bean pick up any time from 6.30am until 5pm weekdays and will happily leave beans out for pick up if you send us a message.

If you are wanting to pre-order a coffee or just get in touch with us, feel free to text the cart phone on 027 375 6861.

Do you do pick up or delivery or both for your beans?

Both. We deliver NZ wide via courier, but also allow free pick up from our premises at 699 River Road. Please see the hours of operation above for more details.

How long does it take for an order for coffee, consumables or accessories to get processed?

Please allow 1 working day to process your order. Expect an email within 1 working day to let you know your order is on the way! Courier times within NZ take between 1-3 working days on average but allow a little longer if you are rural or South Island.

For pick up orders, allow 2 hours during working time (7am until 5pm) and up to 24 hours if outside of these times.

What are your delivery rates?

We operate a Flat Rate delivery/shipping policy.

Urban orders under 1kg in weight: A flat rate delivery fee of $5 applies.

Urban orders 1kg & over in weight: A flat rate delivery fee of $8 applies.

Both flat fees are for urban delivery in NZ. Rural addresses not included.

Rural flat rate of $10 applies. See our shipping policy for more details.

Do you do International shipping?

Unfortunately currently we do not ship outside of New Zealand. For orders to the Pacific Islands, please contact us and we can see what is possible.

Can I do a free pick up?

Yes, you sure can. We allow free pick ups from our place of work, 699 River Road, Fairfield, Hamilton 3210, New Zealand. Just place your order on our website, select the Pick Up option, and we will send you a message when your order is ready to collect (usually within 2 hours during working hours if your order is placed within working hours).

What are the equipment (coffee machines & grinders) delivery options?

Equipment orders will either be delivered or shipped with a specialist carrier - prices for this will be on an individual basis due the heavy, bulky and fragile nature of these products.

Equipment from our Home line has a flat fee of $45 for anywhere in NZ.

We also allow free pick up from our premises for those machines which do not require full installation.

How do I know what equipment would best suit my needs?

This depends on a few different factors, including but not limited to how many coffees you need to make each day, in what environment (office, cafe, home etc), where you are located etc. Some locations (like Rotorua for example) require modifications to be done to the machine so that it can withstand the high levels of sulphur in the area. Talk to us to understand all you need to know about what machine would work best for you. We help you through this process without being pushy, and with you front of mind.

Can I get training from you?

Absolutely! We provide free training with all purchases of our Professional machines (an initial training and continued support) and we also give free support to our Home machine users via videos (or pop in and see us in Hamilton).

What are you doing to minimise your environmental impact?

This is very important to us. All of our coffee cups are commercially compostable and our cold cups are made from PET1 which is recyclable in curbside household recycling in all local councils across NZ (including Kirikiriroa/Hamilton). We suggest doing a proper rinse of the cups before placing them in the recycling bin. To encourage customers to bring their own cups to the cart, we offer a $0.5 discount on our coffee when you bring your own cup.

We try to source everything we can from within NZ. Our syrups come from the Hawkes Bay, our cocoa from New Plymouth, we roast our beans here in Hamilton and we source all of our packaging within NZ which helps support other Kiwi businesses and minimises airmiles. To help reuse alternative milk cartons, we upcycle these into carry trays for our coffees.

Both our office and our cart run on solar - we have 22 panels out the back of the house and are frequently producing more than we consume so we are able to put some of that beautiful renewable energy back into the grid.

We love being able to support local and reduce our environmental footprint wherever possible so it was only logical that we try and find a local milk supplier. We are stoked to be serving Dreamview Creamery's pasteurised A2 milk from Raglan in our cart.

Dreamview deliver the freshest of milk in glass bottles within 24 hours of coming from their happy cows, for us to use in the cart. We then wash the bottles and they collect them for reuse on the next delivery. No more plastics in the recycling! We also love that they look after their herd with ethically farmed, happy cows. As a result, the milk is absolutely delicious!

In the cart, we also use home compostable rubbish bags for our knockbox and our rubbish. Our coffee grinds get collected in these home compostable bags daily, and then are popped out in a bucket for members of the public to help themselves to them for free, to put onto their gardens for epic growth boosts! Coffee grinds also are a good natural insect deterrent for veggie plants - we have found them successful in keeping the white moths away from munching on our veggies.
